Eastern Meet # 5 – Results

Congratulations to the 24 skaters from St. Lawrence that competed in the Eastern Regional Meet #5 this past weekend. A fun time was had by all, with many skaters achieving new PB’s (PB page has been updated). Thanks to everyone who helped with the meet and brought food/supplies!!!! I think we served our officials, volunteers and coaches a good lunch and snacks!!

Provincial A Championships Results

Congratulations to the 4 SLSSC skaters who competed in the Provincial A Championships this past weekend. Here’s how they finished:

Nick Everett – 2nd – Age 14 Boys
Chloe Segal – 10th – Age 13 Girls
Emma-Grace Wheeler – 4th (tie) – Age 12 Girls

Congratulations to Alphonse on being selected to Team Ontario for the Canadian Age Class Short Track Championships in Prince George, BC, on March 14-16, 2014.

Congratulations to Nick and Emma-Grace (alternate) on being selected to Team Ontario for the Canada East Short Track Championships in Riviere-du-Loup, QC, on March 29-30, 2014.

Eastern Regional Meet # 5: BROCKVILLE

Mark your Calendars!

The Eastern Regional Meet #5 will be held on Sunday, March 2nd in Brockville. This is it, our club is hosting the meet, so make plans to attend.

For more information, please read the announcement. Registration forms should be filled out and returned, with payment, to Heather, no later than Wednesday, February 19th.

If you would like to volunteer to help out at the meet, speak with Rob Giroux.

National Long Track Age Class Championship

Congratulations to the 4 skaters from SLSSC, that made the trip to Ste. Foy, Quebec this past weekend, to represent Ontario at the National Long Track Age Class Championship. Here’s how everyone did:

Kingston Meet Update

Congratulations to the 10 skaters that made the trip to Kingston to compete in the meet today. PBs were set by all, with 2 skaters reaching the podium for the first time. Congrats to Arie Devos for winning a Gold medal in the Golf group and Katelyn Gallant for winning a Silver in the Golf Group.

Tuesday Ice Time Shift

Reminder:

The ice schedule for Tuesday January 28th, 2014 is as follows:

6:00-6:50 pm – Comp

7:00-7:50 pm – No ice as there is a Braves Hockey game.

This means that both the Youth 1 and Learn 2 Skate programs will not skate on this evening. Please refer to the Practice schedule for future ice time changes.

For those Youth 1 skaters looking to register for the Kingston Meet, please submit your forms and payment to Heather by Sunday January 26th.
